There was not a word until it was ready to ship? You have to be
kidding! There was an approximate 3 year buildup to the release of the
Toaster. All the tradeshow demos, talk of "laser jelly jets" (don't ask),
pre-release reviews by AmigaWorld (one in particular about 14 months
before its actual release!), all the online talks with Mark Randall on
Harv's People-Link service years before its release, etc. I was on an
early waiting list for many months before it shipped (got Toaster #951).
It was well worth the wait!
